BRIEF STORY –
Inside Out 2 follows 13-year-old Riley Andersen as she navigates the challenges of entering adolescence and high school. Her personified emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust—oversee a new mental area called the “Sense of Self,” but chaos erupts when puberty triggers new emotions like Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui to arrive. As Riley attends a hockey camp, conflicting emotions clash over how she should behave, leading to her old emotions being temporarily locked away, while the new emotions attempt to reshape her personality.
Ultimately, Joy and the original emotions work together with the new ones to help Riley accept both her positive and negative memories, leading her to embrace her evolving identity, reconcile with friends, and thrive at hockey tryouts and in life .
