BRIEF STORY –
Avatar (2009) is set in the mid-22nd century on Pandora, a lush moon rich in resources but inhabited by the Na’vi, a sapient and tall blue-skinned humanoid species. Due to Earth’s resource depletion, humans, through the Resources Development Administration (RDA), aim to mine the valuable mineral unobtanium. Jake Sully, a paraplegic former Marine, joins the AVATAR Program to replace his deceased brother, controlling a genetically engineered hybrid body called an avatar that allows him to explore Pandora and interact with the Na’vi.
